A cooling pad cannot promise a particular amount of deep sleep. This page offers a way to choose bedding for comfort, not a tested ranking based on sleep-stage measurements.

Start with an observable problem

Is the room hot, the duvet too heavy, or the surface uncomfortable? Try a targeted change before buying an expensive system. A cooler first touch does not prove that a textile removes heat throughout the night.

Powered air and water systems work differently. Check room-temperature limits, equipment sound, coverage and cleaning requirements. An advertised temperature range is not the same as a measured improvement in your sleep.

Judge comfort honestly

Keep other bedding similar while evaluating a change and note whether you feel more comfortable. Consumer sleep scores are not proof that a particular pad caused more deep sleep. If sleep problems persist, seek appropriate advice instead of repeatedly buying products on the strength of recovery or sleep-stage promises.
