There is no universal safe fan height calculated from mattress height alone. The exact fan instructions, surface stability and walking routes matter more than a score.
- Use a stable surface or floor position approved for the fan.
- Keep the required intake and outlet clearances.
- Route the cord away from foot traffic and where it cannot pull the fan down.
- Adjust direction and speed within the design, then listen from the bed.
Do not balance a fan on improvised stands, tuck it under bedding or aim mist from a humidifier into electrical equipment. Keep it inaccessible to children where applicable. A fan circulates room air; if the room itself is too hot, address that condition rather than raising the fan higher.
