A visible zip is not proof that a cover is intended for routine removal. Check the exact manual before opening it.
- Identify which cover belongs to which core and size.
- Confirm that removal is allowed and follow the opening instructions.
- Check the cover’s own care label separately from the filling.
- Allow the parts to dry as instructed before refitting.
Do not force a zip, stretch a shrunken cover or substitute instructions from a similar-looking topper. Plan a spare permitted bedding layer if drying will take longer than the time available. There is no readiness score that certifies safe removal or guarantees same-day drying.
