Strap wear cannot be predicted reliably from a short questionnaire. Inspect the actual fit, seams and elastic instead.

Check that the mattress footprint and combined depth fall within the product’s stated range. Secure straps only through the intended route and tension. They should not be used to force an undersized pad onto a deeper bed.

Look for loose stitching, tearing, lost recovery or repeated corner movement. Recheck after changing sheets and after adjustable-base movement where that use is approved. Keep straps and connectors away from hinges and pinch points.

Do not add clips through a water pad or improvise restraints around a moving base. Replace or resolve damaged and incompatible components according to the manufacturer rather than tightening them again. This checklist does not estimate remaining lifespan or certify load-bearing strength.
