The question is which part may contact water, and in what way. A washable textile cover does not make an entire cooling system washable.
Read the exact model’s manual and the label on the part you want to clean. Identify foam, gel, waterproof layers, tubing, connectors and any control unit. Follow removal, draining and disconnection instructions where applicable.
Spot cleaning, hand washing and machine washing are different permissions. Do not turn one into another because a gentle cycle sounds cautious. Use only permitted cleaners and follow the drying procedure before reassembly.
If instructions are missing or conflict, obtain the correct manufacturer guidance before proceeding. Only the exact instructions can establish the permitted cleaning method.
